WELCOME
FROM THE BEGINNING
My passion for plants and working outdoors, started as a child. My favorite place to be was outside, experiencing all aspects of nature on our 30 acres of land. I learned to garden watching my father tend to his orchards and vegetables, while my mother grew rows of gladiolas. Later in life, I worked with a florist – falling in love with the color, texture, and romance of flowers.

I have always seen the outside landscape as an extension of the home. Just as interior rooms serve a purpose so should the outdoors. Through my education and hands on training, I have over 25 year’s experience working in the landscape industry designing and installing outdoor projects. I work with homeowners, landscapers, and businesses to create beautiful and functional designs.

As a landscape designer, my work emphasizes site specific exterior design, with the ability to incorporate a client’s style into their landscape. The human eye recognizes color before anything else. I love the challenge of weaving color into the landscape, so it charms the eye. The best landscape design offers a transformational experience. Whether designing a classical French garden with beautiful and precise gardens or a tropical paradise with lush greens and verdant fronds. I use my plant knowledge to build lasting landscapes that will retain their beauty and vigor for many years.

An aesthetic landscape design incorporates five key elements: line, form, texture, color and scale. The perfect balance of these design features appeals to the eye and brings harmony to a space. From beautiful, functional back yards to gracious, welcoming front entrances, I strive to fulfill each clients needs by creating unique, personal spaces. I add structure and order, such as walkways and patios, with careful consideration of plant materials. I do a range of projects, from front yard renovations while adding to your current plants and shrubs, to designing plantings around pools, adding outdoor kitchens, fire pits, custom seating and storage areas. Seasonal containers are my favorite!

SEASONAL COLOR

Refill your pots and planters up to four times per year with handmade, seasonal arrangements!
When choosing seasonal color I consider each client’s style, personality, and color preference by complimenting your current tone of your landscape and incorporating annual pollinator favorites that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Spring plantings begin with pansies and bulbs. Summer months has endless options . Fall transitions into mums, gourds, grasses and pumpkins. Winter encompasses various berries, twigs and evergreens.
Each season brings with it new colors and emotions. Many homeowners seek help in selecting plant material that will offer season-long interest in the landscape. Different colors can add variety and add interest to the landscape. Plants should add consistency and tie the landscape design together. Harmony in a landscape is often accomplished when the same color schemes are repeated.

SPRING
Once there is a frost free forecast, get rid of the winter blues with vibrant planters that boast delicately textured and brightly colored, spring favorites.
SUMMER
Summer months bring long days, warm weather, and ample sunshine which are the perfect recipe for spectacular growth. Watch your summer arrangements triple in size on your patio, deck, pool, or wherever you spend your warm, summer months.

AUTUMN
Our first cool down in Fall brings harvest themed arrangements with warm earth tones. Wispy grasses, seed pods, ornamental cabbage and kale, peppers, and pansy create arrangements that are cold-tolerant lasting until a hard frost.
WINTER
Winter planters provide a much-needed pop of color during the colder months. After all the trees have dropped their leaves, a splash of color at the front of your home is more needed than ever. Red and orange berries, pinecones, and brightly colored dogwood twigs all nestle into a deep green spray of fragrant pine, silver fir, and boxwood boughs.
With literally thousands of options in choosing plant material, it can oftentimes be overwhelming to homeowners in deciding which plants to buy. Catalogs and magazines are great for getting ideas. It is also a good idea to visit the nurseries and garden centers periodically throughout the year to see what plants are in bloom. Choosing a variety of plants with staggered bloom times, along with those that add unique textures and distinctive leaf colors can add seasonal interest to any landscape.
